getfitpod (get-fit-pod) n 1. A guide to getting yourself back into shape. 2.  Fitness, diet and health Information for the over 50 folks.  3. Entertainment for your workout. 4.  An audio blog chronicling a year of getting fit.  5.  Specially designed workouts.  6. Radio on the internet.  

Current Episode - The Summer 2009 Running Workout will be released this weekend.  This is an interval training workout for runners.  It was designed particularly for trail runners.  It can also be done outside on the road or inside on a treadmill.  The workout features 6 sets of 2-3 minutes in length, with rest in-between the sets.  Three to four, short, intense speed intervals are included in each set.  The playlist features music by Aramitsu, Geoff Smith, Verona Red, Yuma House, George Wood, The Rewinds and The B-Sea Surfers. It's different from most of our workouts.
